Pull back the curtain on the Great Cover Up, an electric intersection of community, cover bands, and charity.

For one night only, every band...is your favorite band. Pull back the curtain on The Great Cover Up, an electric intersection of community, cover bands, and charity.

Over 20+ years and 500+ cover bands, the annual Great Cover Up event has been an unabashedly creative, silly, DIY cover band concert that celebrates individuality amongst an increasingly uniform world.

Paul Siler and Cheetie Kumar have been the owners at the core of Kings, Raleigh’s beloved music venue for over 20 years. But in late 2023, Paul and Cheetie officially sold Kings to trusted friends.

As they formally hand over the keys, this documentary serves as a time capsule of the treasured venue and what happens when Raleigh comes together to raise funds through rock and roll.

Funding

We are seeking donations for the film to cover costs in the final pre-production, production and post production stages.

In exchange for your tax deductible donation, you’ll receive special thanks in the credits and tickets to the film’s premiere screening party in late 2023/early 2024.

The Great Cover Up documentary is being created by Myriad, a video agency in Raleigh, and Window Music, a Myriad Original Series that seeks to find the sounds of North Carolina.
